Maybe you saw it on the Culture Map or Visit Houston and thought, this looks like a vibe. Maybe the algorithm delivered it to your timeline at 2 a.m. and you have been low-key obsessed ever since.

First Things First: What Even Is Igbofest Houston?
Igbofest Houston is the largest annual Igbo cultural festival in the United States, hosted in the city of Houston. It is organized by the Ndi Ichie Youth Cultural Foundation under the parentage of Ndi-Ichie Cultural Association and has been going strong for 23 years. Yes, twenty-three. Before TikTok, before Instagram Reels, before “diaspora” became a buzzword in every grant application, this festival was already out here doing the work.
